Doherty Sues Management Team Over Breast Cancer Diagnosis

Former “Beverly Hills 90210” star, Shannen Doherty, revealed Wednesday that she has breast cancer and filed a lawsuit against her old business management team for allowing her health insurance to lapse.

The lawsuit alleges that her former business managers, Tanner Mainstain Glynn & Johnson LLP, failed to perform critical tasks under their agreement including paying her health insurance premium for 2014. Grocer Calls Foul, Argues for Sanctions Against Michael Jordan

On Monday, July 27, Jewel Food Stores Inc. told an Illinois federal judge that Michael Jordan and his attorneys should be sanctioned in his right of publicity suit.  The lawsuit arose when Jordan accused the grocery chain of using his likeness without his permission in an ad featured in Sports Illustrated, and according to Jewel, Jordan has violated the court’s order to stop repeatedly asking for judgment.

Rap mogul Curtis Jackson, who also goes by the moniker 50 Cent, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Monday, July 13 following a $5 million judgment against him in a somewhat bizarre lawsuit. That lawsuit was filed by Lastonia Leviston, the ex-girlfriend of rapper Rick Ross. She claimed that Jackson violated her privacy by posting a sex tape of her on the internet.

In Hot Water: Tom Selleck Accused of Stealing Public Water

On Wednesday, July 1, the Calleguas Municipal Water District filed a complaint asserting that Tom Selleck and his wife, Jillie, transported water from the Calleguas district to their ranch.  This would violate a water ordinance that bars water conveyed by Calleguas to be delivered or sold outside of its district boundaries.
