In a Second Circuit lawsuit, a group of former professional wrestlers argued that the statute of limitations did not lapse in their lawsuit against World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), as they knew about and hid the risks of head injuries.

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and its CEO, Vince McMahon, have fought back against 67 retired wrestlers who appealed the dismissal of their concussion lawsuit.

WWE Persistent in Seeking Concussion Suit Sanctions

On March 22, 2018, World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. (WWE) sought the support of a federal court to uphold a sanctions recommendation provided a month earlier, which was directed toward attorney Konstantine Kyros. Sanctions and Legal Fees Recommended for Plaintiffs’ Attorney in WWE Suit

On February 22, 2018, a federal judge ruled on a motion for sanctions filed by defendant World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. (WWE), against Konstantine Kyros, the attorney representing former WWE wrestlers, plaintiffs Evan Singleton and Vito LoGrasso, in their concussion suit. (WWE) were accused of filing “abusive” sanctions motions against plaintiffs’ attorneys in a class action lawsuit centering on wrestler’s injuries sustained from concussions.
